Dark blue wool broadcloth double breasted frockcoat with royal blue standing collar, shoulder straps, scalloped Brandenburg cuffs and rear skirt false pocket flap details. Has gold finish New York state staff pattern buttons throughout. There are false bullion regimental numbers "3" on the collar ends. On either side of the waist are are buttoned belt loops. There is moderate to heavy scattered mothing, notable on the left collar end, and a large hole under the right arm pit, probably from a mouse. Interior lined in white quilted cotton marked and dated "INSPE'D ORD. DEPT. / 1884." Skirts lined in black wool / silk mixed fabric. Shows service wear and some rust stains on the lining from a metal hanger. Scarce pattern early uniform that could be improved with a little restoration. Fair condition. S&H-$10.00
